Levlix Auto-Publish Guide
The Auto-Publish module publishes new posts in your chosen announcement channels automatically, so servers that follow those channels receive them right away.
Publishing an announcement normally takes an extra click on every single post. With Auto-Publish, an administrator picks the announcement channels once and Levlix takes care of that click for every future post.
Setup
- Make sure the channel is an Announcement channel in Discord. Regular text channels cannot be published.
- Run
/autopublishin your server. A private settings panel opens. - Pick a channel from the Select an announcement channel menu. The menu only lists announcement channels.
- Levlix confirms with "Autopublish enabled for #channel" and the channel appears under Active Channels. Selecting the same channel again turns Auto-Publish off for it.
The panel closes on its own after five minutes. Run /autopublish again whenever you want to review or change the list.
Commands
| Command | Function | Required Permissions |
|---|---|---|
/autopublish |
Opens the Auto-Publish settings panel with the list of active channels and the channel toggle | Administrator |
Auto-Publish is a core module. It has no on/off switch on the dashboard's Module Management page and is simply inactive until you enable at least one channel. All configuration happens in Discord through /autopublish.
How it works
- Levlix watches every new message in your server. A message is published only if it was posted in an announcement channel and that channel is on your active list.
- Messages posted by bots and webhooks are never published. Posts from members who turned off activity tracking with
/privacyare also left alone, because Levlix does not process their messages at all. - The active list is cached for one minute. Changes made through the panel take effect immediately.
- If Discord rate-limits publishing, or the post was already published, Levlix skips that post silently and does not retry it.
- Levlix stores only your server ID and the channel ID for each active channel. Nothing about the posts themselves is saved.
FAQ
A post was not published. Why? Check the conditions above: the channel must be an announcement channel, it must be on the active list, the bot must have permission to publish there, and the author must not be a bot or webhook. Posts that hit Discord's publishing rate limit are skipped, not queued.
I converted an announcement channel back into a text channel. Nothing breaks. Auto-Publish only reacts to announcement channels, so the entry stays on the list but does nothing until the channel becomes an announcement channel again.
A channel shows as "Unknown channel" in the panel. That channel was deleted. The entry is harmless, because the module never acts on a channel that no longer exists.
