Pop Quiz: How the Levlix Quiz Module Drives Engagement

Most Discord engagement tools are passive. Members earn XP by chatting, points by being online, levels by existing. Quizzes are different. They require attention, reward knowledge, and create a moment of collective focus that few other features can match.

Levlix's Quiz Module lets admins post interactive multiple-choice questions directly in Discord.

Three Quiz Types

Daily Quiz

A daily quiz runs for the time the admin sets, up to 24 hours. Four answer options (A, B, C, D) appear as interactive buttons. Members click their answer, and the result is revealed when the quiz ends. Correct answers earn points. Each member can only answer once, so there is no second-guessing.

A discussion thread is automatically created for each quiz, giving members a place to debate the answer without spoiling it for others.

Game ID Quiz

For communities tied to external games, the Game ID quiz requires participants to have a registered Game ID. It takes two to four answer options and runs for a configurable duration. This format is ideal for game-specific trivia where only verified players should participate.

No-Points Quiz

Sometimes you want engagement without economic impact. The no-points quiz runs identically to the other types but awards no points. Useful for polls, fun trivia, or community opinion checks.

Leaderboard and Statistics

Every correct answer earns points that feed into a dedicated quiz leaderboard. Run /quiz and open the Leaderboard tab to see who leads in quiz performance. Members can track their personal history on the My history tab and review their accuracy on My stats.

The quiz leaderboard is separate from the XP leaderboard, which means members who excel at trivia get their own recognition regardless of how much they chat.

Anti-Abuse

Each member can answer a quiz exactly once. There is no changing your answer, no second attempts, and no way to game the system. For Game ID quizzes, only members with a verified Game ID can participate, which eliminates alt account abuse entirely.

Quiz buttons survive bot restarts, so even if Levlix goes offline briefly, members can still answer when it comes back.

Admin Dashboard

Admins manage quizzes in /setup under Games and then Quizzes, or on the web dashboard. From there, they can create quizzes, end or cancel running ones, post one again, and clean up expired ones. The panel-driven approach means no memorizing command syntax. Pick a channel, select a quiz type, fill in the form, and the quiz is live.

Why Quizzes Work

Quizzes create a shared moment. Unlike passive XP gain, a quiz is an event. Members see the question, think about the answer, and click. Then they check the thread to see if others agree. That micro-interaction generates more conversation than hours of passive chatting.

For game communities, quizzes also serve as a knowledge check. "Do your members actually know the game?" is a question worth answering, and a well-crafted quiz reveals it instantly.

Try /quiz to see what is running, or check the Quiz Module Guide for admin setup.
