Never Break Your Streak: Daily Rewards in Levlix
The most effective engagement mechanic is also the simplest: give members a reason to show up every day. The Levlix Daily Rewards system does exactly that with a single command, a streak tracker, and escalating bonuses that make consistency feel rewarding.
How It Works
Members type /daily once a day to claim their point reward. The window is the UTC calendar day, so a claim at 23:59 and the next at 00:01 both count. The command takes two seconds, the reward is instant, and the points go directly into their balance. That is the entire interaction.
What makes it sticky is the streak system.
Streak Tiers
Claiming your daily on consecutive days builds a streak. Longer streaks unlock higher tiers with bonus points on top of the base reward:
- Starter - Your first few days
- Bronze - One week of consecutive claims
- Silver - A full month without missing a day
- Gold - 100 consecutive days of dedication
- Platinum - An entire year of daily claims
Each tier awards progressively larger bonuses. The jump from Starter to Bronze is noticeable, and the jump to Silver is significant enough that members actively protect their streak.
The catch: missing a single day resets your streak back to zero. That one rule creates more daily logins than any other feature we have built.
DM Reminders
Because a broken streak feels genuinely bad after 30+ days, Levlix offers optional DM reminders. Members can configure a custom time (in UTC) to receive a private notification if they have not claimed their daily yet.
The reminder is simple, non-intrusive, and solves the most common complaint about streak systems: "I forgot."
Milestone Announcements
When notifications are enabled on your server, streak milestones trigger public announcements. A member hitting 7 consecutive days, 30 days, or 100 days gets recognized in the configured channel. These announcements serve as social proof and motivate other members to start their own streaks.
The Psychology Behind Streaks
Streak mechanics work because of loss aversion. Psychologically, losing a 45-day streak feels worse than the reward of any single daily claim. That asymmetry is what drives the behavior. Members do not log in because the reward is large. They log in because they do not want to lose what they have built.
Combined with the point economy, daily rewards feed directly into the shop and mini games, creating a self-reinforcing loop of earning and spending.
