As the Levlix community grows faster than ever, so does our responsibility to handle your data securely and ethically. We strongly believe that you own your data. That's why we have completely overhauled our data retention infrastructure to automatically clean up our database, fully compliant with GDPR data minimization principles.
Nobody likes "data hoarders," and keeping configuration data for servers that haven't used our bot in months just wastes energy and breaks trust.
How it works
We've introduced the Data Retention Loop, an automated backend system that runs once every 24 hours. It sweeps the database and enforces two hard rules:
- The 30-Day Server Rule: If you kick the Levlix bot from your server, we hold onto your configuration for 30 days in case you change your mind or need to reinstall. Once those 30 days pass, the bot permanently erases your settings, configurations, shop items, and player profiles associated with your server.
- The 2-Year User Rule: If a user's profile on a server has been completely inactive for 2 years, we automatically purge their profile and history. Only records we must keep on separate legal grounds, such as moderation case evidence and the privacy audit log, are retained, as described in our data retention documentation.
What this means for you
Absolutely nothing! If you're actively using Levlix, your data remains perfectly secure. If you ever decide to leave us, you can rest easy knowing that your data won't linger on our servers forever.
